The real countdown is ON!

I leave the morning of Saturday May 28th and will get into MBJ around 11:30 am!! All I can say is WOO HOO! I won't believe it till I actually set foot on Jamaican soil--so much to do to pull this trip togehter! I will probably be up most of the night on Friday packing and getting the animals set up and will be going crazy all week to pull things together, so when I get there it will be one huge exhalation of relief.

Found my passport, moneybelt, swimsuits and flipflops and I got some cool water shoes from Lands End in case I want to go to Mayfield or YS falls. Other than that nothing is together. Can't find my camera, my shorts, my Jamaican sundresses or my mind :)

I have two Saturdays in Negril, the night I arrive and the night before I go. So If I am not too tired I might make it the 28th but I have to get up at 4 am that morning so it is iffy. If I don't make it that first night I am hoping to go on my last night. But all my best made plans tend to dissolve in Negril, so we'll see:)

ok now one more day to go and I am swimming in the caribbean! WOO HOO! I found my camera, and found my portable sound system that hooks up to my ipod. I have not packed, but at least I know I have the key elements that go into the suitcase. The subway service is screwed up Saturday, so my 5 AM trip to the airport via subway and bus should be interesting with my snorkel gear and laptop hanging off me, in addition to my suitcase. I so wish I could just snap my fingers and be in Negril.

Hey, How are the kitties? Did they work out their differences?

the kitties are still rooted in their trauma/drama, so one is still always parked in the kitty condo, Sigh. At least I am over the part where my heart is broken daily because of their fighting. For the trip, one is going to have to stay in the "condo" and one will get the run of the apt. A friend will check in on them a couple of times. I have finally come to the understanding that I shouldn't feel bad about it-- they have food, water and shelter and it is what it is.

But that said, I am going to clip their claws when I get back and put them together in the apt. and see if they can work it out, even if cat violence is involved.

At the airport after no sleep eating a spinach swiss omlette they dosed the potatoes in salt and probably mag ain't taking a photo! Cecck in smooth it is too early for bloodyary- dang!
