Well I may have just run into a spot of luck, geez it's about time something went right for a change. It appears as though I may be able to stay with a lady at her home up in the West End, oh my freaking gosh, I am BEYOND thrilled! Previously I have stayed on the Beach, so I've been dying to do the West End for a change. I have all fingers and toes crossed that this is going to work out!

Here in Texas what is the deal, 2 seasons, drought & flood, and today we got da FLOOD! It was so bad I was literally afraid to drive to work this morning (30 mile drive). So I am home hoping it'll clear up & I can go on in later. This is some of the kinds of weather I'm trying my best to get away from, LOL! It's been cloudy, drizzly and just horrid. Luckily up to now it's been rather mild, but the rains last night brought a distinct chill back to the air. Which is actually a good thing as far as not much worse than muggy warm drizzly weather.

Got my Travelers Checks from the bank yesterday, and a little bit of Jamaican... this is kinda cool, you can order Foreign Currency now from your bank & have it delivered in a few days. I couldn't resist ordering a bit to get me started & see how that worked. So I feel like I'm covered now, I have little bit Jamaican $, little bit American $, Travelers checks, yup!

Now if that freaking small carry on case I ordered would only hurry up & get here, I can resume more important tasks like packing, unpacking, packing, changing stuff around, put this in, take this out, change my mind, put it back in again, until I finally give up & either way, way overpack, or actually do it correct for a change and just a few T shirts, etc.
