Percy Sledge RIP "When a man loves a woman"

Percy was a local favorite at De Bus and upon it's closing still held the record for attendance there. The original De Bus when the stage
was not on the beach but back away from the beach behind the large round bar. I don't believe he ever played Bourbon beach. The area lost a lot when Ms Joy moved off the island. Later John passed and it continued to go through many changes most of which were not positive The stage moved to the beach in the early 90's as it seemed everyone wanted the sound to carry up and down the beach to attract patrons to the music. De Bus was the greatest music venue in all of the caribbean according to the top artist that played there on a regular basis. Always more locals than tourist and Rocky made the best Jerk Chicken and sauce on the Island......

When a man loves a woman was voted the best "slow dance" record ever recorded....
