The Jamaicans do a lot and go all out around the Easter Holidays.
My son (play son) is 6 years old and he just loves to go to the beach.
Me too, I swim like a fish (aquarius) and have been in love
with the Sea and oceans and anything to do with underwater adventures
ever since I started watching Jacque Coustea on PBS as a kid.

It's Easter weekend and they were up ready to go.
"don't worry. I told the mom, I will keep a good eye on these 2".
I won't let them out of my sight.

Some Jamaican's worry that every Easter Holiday

"the sea takes away someone". (A drowning)

So, I had to be on my toes this day.
We all had our swimsuits and towels, food, drinks, etc and head down the road toward the beach.
I can still hear my 2 year old crying because she could not go with us.

We made it to the beach and there were folks all over the place.
The locals had set up tables with food, drinks and everything you need for a day at the beach.
The spot is close the the river, right before you get to the Craft market,
that's where the locals hang out on beach days.

My play son just loves the water, he stayed in almost the whole day!
He may have come out 2-3 times, but he practically lived in the water this day.
He is not a good swimmer, so I watched him very close.

I was trying to teach him to swim some of the time,
but splashing around with other kids and making noise was what he wanted to do.

I had my snorkel gear, mask and fins and I was patrolling out in the deep, making sure no kids came too far from the shore.
But, they wore me out after a few hours.
I just stayed on the beach and watched them.

Afterwards, as usual we were starving and stopped at the Patty Shop first and then headed home.

It was a good day.
