An interestingman gentleman on the new sidewalk and his shop.

This new side walk is alright!
I like to walk most of the time.
You miss so much zipping down the road in an automobile.

I noticed that the sidewalk starts right after you crossed the bridge and headed towards the beach.
    Hmm, nice place to start.
It is quite a walk to the places that I frequent.

So, one bright shiny morning/afternoon I cross the bridge and got on the new path.
About a 1/2 mile or so, there is a little shop/stand like set-up.
    On the Morass side.
About at the point where Coral Seas Beach and Traveler's Resort are set.

As I approached I noticed an older man, obviously in charge, setting up things.
He had a nice little fire on a portable stove and a pot cooking some nice smelling food.
"Hungry? Care for a bite?" he said with a twinkle in his eye.
For some reason, older, wiser looking Jamaican gentlemen are very interesting to me.

He appeared to be between 55-65, hard to tell.
His eyes showed that he was very confident, and had spent many years in deep thought.
    Intelligent looking.
Extremely kind, with manners well practiced.
You will see gents like him often in Jamaica, if you look and observe.

    Hmmm,
    He is all alone.
Set up out here, away from the normal crowds, virtually in the middle of nowhere, trying to sell his
    food and juices.

    Then I thought,
    he looks so comfortable.
He has freedom and sunshine with some shade.
Working out in the open air with the wind as a companion most of the day.
He had a cooler with ice and the fire was going cooking rice and veggies.
He was at peace with himself and the world.
I must stop and stay longer next time if he is still around.
