Baby.....oh baby.
Hmmm, where is she.
Dag nabbit. of all the times for her to be....
"She is around back, Mom said, washing your clothes.
Oh....OK.
So I high tailed it round back and there she was, up to her elbows in suds.
"Hey cutie pie, I thought we were going to Sav today.
"Yeah mon, we will, first I must finish the laundry.
Ok, so I walked over to a shade tree and rolled a nice one.
I keep hitting myself in the head
(Mark, you must remember, things are not rushed here.
Done with patience and love., but they take their time).
I was still on the fast pace Chicago, need it yesterday mode.
I hit myself in the head again.
"Snap out of it Mark, get in the groove!!
So, I chilled.
It was still early and now she came around the corner wearing nothing but a towel.
"I will bathe now, then we go to Sav La Mar, check on your spices.
Cool.
When we were both ready, we walked to the road and hopped in a route Taxi.
Soon, we got out and started walking.
Sav has a shopping district with all kinds of stores up and down the street.
It reminded me of a street in Montego Bay.
Same looking stores, same products.
I was looking for a Jamaica Flag bandana.
I found it for $70J in a little store.
We made a left turn off of the main drag and it appeared as if we were behind all the shopping stores.
We walked a little more and came upon an area sort of outdoor, but still covered.
If you ever saw a travel show about the markets/bazaars in Istanbul , than this was it.
There were merchants, set up with little and big bags of all kinds of spices.
Those old time scales were everywhere.
The aroma hit your nose 15 feet before you entered.
My girl took me to her regular spice lady.
"I want Jerk and meat seasonings."
I got 2 large Jerk seasonings and 2 bags of what she called "to the bone" spice.
All I needed now was to get it back home and grill up some stuff for my buddies in Chicago.
