Well it only makes sense that drinking beer brewed in a particular country / state tastes better. Have any of you been to the Guinness Brewery in Dublin??? Or Heineken in Amsterdam? Or the great beers in Copenhagen, Munich??? So how can a beer travel thousands of miles on a cargo ship, and taste as good in the USA as it does in it's home country.

Back in the 70's and 80's Red Stripe in Jamaica packed a nice punch. Can't say for sure recently how it tastes in JA but the Red Stripe that has been sold in the US (made in the US) was / is pretty different. But again the same can be said for most other brands.

Very true, I live in Milwaukee and years ago a buddy that loves his High Life moved to New Orleans and asked us to bring as many cases of Miller as possible when we would visit. We kidded him that the beer in NOLA (made in Georgia) was the same, he was adamant that it tasted different. During my 1st visit I insisted on trying the local High Life, he was right as it wasn't the same even within the same country.
