Wats the beach like to walk/jog

    Hello beautiful Negril,
Its been a few years for me since I stayed awhile in Negrll.
Whats the local taxis like ? Same?
Whats the beach from the round-a-bout up to Long Bay park like? lots of flat sand or slanted at spots?
What about walking barefoot on the beach still? I LOVED that about Negril beach
And any advise how to handle the aggressive guys

I know you can't say negative things that are only opinion, you could inbox me those ones

    Hi Callme2,

Taxis Look different, still Red plate with
a checker board pattern running from front to back.
And they have that yellow light on the Rooftop.

Just smile and say No or
" I already have it and money finish".

    after that
you can keep silent and keep walking or if sitting, just smile and look away.

The beach walk just before sunset is super nice too.
Things change to that golden color here and there.
    Marvelous.

My observations are as of this June.
For me walking isn't really a problem but I don't like jogging on it too much as it does get slanted in some parts if you're trying to stay on the hardpack.
Barefoot is still not a problem on the beach.

    Hey Callme2...long time!

I'm not understanding what you mean about not being allowed to post "negative things". Unfortunately, like anywhere there are some negatives out there that opinions should be allowed to address...and as far as I know they're allowed here and can be quite helpful.

Handling the aggressive guys on the beach...depends on my mood.
Obviously the hustlers that live here or ones that are always around don't bother me...but for the new hustlers in town, usually a "no thanks" will work.
The other advice I offer...if someone is overly aggressive...get a worker from a property you're passing by to stop them or don't be afraid to tell them to back off. There is no need to be polite to someone that won't take no for an answer.
And yes, if you see us and ever feel intimidated by someone...we're always happy to stop them also.

once i was there, the beach was flat & perfect for running in the morning when the vendors were still sleeping

next time a storm passed through the week before i arrived and the beach was slanty for poor running conditions

sidewalk on main road was a good alternative for running
