    Not like the old days!

After a few hours on Saturday evening with no current (electricity) island wide...we ended up with a calm, beautiful evening the next day. Pics below.

It's more of a shock for current to go out now and unlike years ago, it's truly quite rare that this happens...but when it does, it's usually just a blip or at least fixed within 2-3 hours instead of overnight or within a couple of days.

Candles were lit before evening fell, internet was still going strong and we have great battery power on our computers...what more do you need...oh yeah, a couple of Red Stripe in the freezer!

mi lost current 3 times this Summer....lost cable once......and wata three or four times......just the way it is in paradise.....
the wata bothers mi da most since mi take about 3-4 showers on da average everyday....mi don't use air conditioning......
shower after snorkeling in da AM...shower after AM biking....shower after walking in da afternoon...and shower before mi go to bed.....

but yeah the current was a lot better this Summer.....this Winter wasn't as good.....lost it about 5 or 6 times.....lol
cable was out for about 4 days around Christmas......now that really stunk...oh well...just turn on da tunes....lol

Kerosene. We had one at the yard. They were tricky to use but when they worked they worked good. Even made a little ice.

    Marko...pay your bills!!

When we set up the tank reservoir system (or whatever it's called) that eliminated our water problems.
We don't have a/c in our house either...but being in the hills a ways makes for a much cooler environment.
When we lived deep West End many moons ago...it was annoyingly dry & hot! Riding around in the car with the a/c on...was a treat...lol!
