Driving rental no rooms booked

Hi guys Driving ourselves this trip
Just want some feedback on arriving in places like Treasure Beach / Belmont / Bluefields without pre booking room
Question in end of oct / start nov is it easy enough to get a walk up room for reasonable money

Did this on my 2nd circumnavigation of the island in the early '90s. Somewhat ballsy, but as long as you know what resorts are where you're going it didn't present a problem in the off season. We burned a few hours looking for the right value, but weren't disappointed for the most part and fabulously exceeded our expectations at one resort (Dragon Bay Villas in Port Antonio). Wouldn't you know, that's the one that's been closed for years. Cool runnin's --Marblehead

Treasure Beach should be pretty empty. There are a number of hotels to choose from and unless you really want to stay at a particular place you will be fine just showing up. For instance Treasure Beach Hotel must have 30 rooms and we had the place to ourselves in early November a few years ago.
