Damn - I had changed my vacation to arrive day of party. And even booked flight that would arrive MBJ before noon to get to party before it was over.
Then it happened...I had a detached retina which required immediate eye surgery to fix.
After lasering the retina back in place, they insert a bubble into the eye to help hold it there – bubble means no flying for min. of 6 weeks. Plus I had to turn my planned vacation days into sick days – and use them up before claiming Short Term Disability Days for the rest of the 4-6 weeks I have to be off work. I won’t earn enough vacation days to come down for a week until about Oct at earliest. Rotten luck.
You all be sure to have a good time. And please tell Stacey-Ann (fairly new employee of Canoe) Matt told you to say Hi. She's my future sister-in-law.
