Stepping High Festival March 4th and 5th
February 25th - 28th, 2017
Stepping High is the first and longest running ganja festival in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Originally located in the West End of Negril, for eleven years the event was underground and primarily advertised word-of-mouth. Although, fraught with many restraints, the festival attracted scores of tourists from as far afield as Germany, Spain, Japan, and Ghana; neighbouring territories such as Trinidad and Tobago, and Bermuda among others attended the event, making it the largest ganja festival to date, in the region. As word circulated and information about the "Best Bud Cup" and great performing artists, the Stepping High production grew by leaps and bounds. Year 2017 marks the 14th annual Stepping High Festival being held this year at Cayenne Beach on March 4th and 5th. The Festival is showcasing the finest strains of ganja and a musical extravaganza which boasts a line-up of local and international acts. It fully embraces the Rastafari culture which is an invaluable part of the Jamaican culture. This year's line up includes Ricö Stamp Icö, Singing Vernon, Yasus Afari, Pacino Warren, Jah Wayne, Omar Noble, Paul Chang, Nicholas Evans, Souljie Don, Pamela Joy Remick Hagans, Ugo Archibald, Roan Robinson, Yacub Selassie and Anthony Lewis. Music and herb lovers from all over the world are uniting and “stepping high” with the happiest people on the globe!
