OP and Ting at Bar Negril

One of the most popular mixed drinks in Jamaica is Rum and Ting. There are many great Jamaican rums, but one of the most potent is Wray & Nephew's White Overproof. Not for the faint of heart, coming in at 126 proof (63% alcohol), Wray & Nephew's Overproof is said to be the best selling rum on the island. Founded in 1825 by John Wray, John held consumer taste testing at his famous Shakespeare Tavern in Kingston. The current owner of Wray & Nephew is the Italian based Campari Group who are maintaing the rich history of Overproof. Jamaican made Ting soda was introduced 1976 and the Rum and Ting was born! Ting is also enjoyed ice cold by itself, a refreshing drink on a hot day! Today's picture was taken at Bar Negril on Negril's short West End.
