If you were only staying one night on the beach in Negril where would you go for great food and good entertainment
Lots of choices for food and entertainment, later after 10 Margaritaville has an all you can drink party upstairs for $1000, if that's your kinda thing.
What is your definition of "entertainment"? If I was staying one night on the beach I could park my butt down at whatever place is the busiest and just sit back and watch the cast of characters that make up Negril, tourists and locals alike!
Alfreds Ocean Palace has live reggae entertainment every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evening (starts about 10:00 pm). Small admission fee (about $500 JA or so depending on who the artistes are). Crowd will be mixture of locals and tourists. Alfred's good is good too, but if you only have the one night open, suggest you eat elsewhere before going to Alfreds. Lots of great places for dinner along the beach at reasonable prices.
Sounds good so far. Would rather a place like Alfred's then Margaritaville for entertainment I'm thinking. Just a place with a nice mix of locals and tourists. Food wise, we'd like a really good meal and we don't mind paying more for that.
For dinner, if you want to splurge, suggest the Charela Inn restaurant (long time owners, he's Jamaican and she's originally from France); or Kayuba (which is close to Bourbon Beach); or if you are looking for great Jamaican food at much more reasonable cost, check out the beach front dining at Coconuts International.
Start at Sun Beach, we always have a good time there...
