police CLOSED the One-Way

all traffic is being detour-ed to other routes

the One-Way is now a gigantic bazzar.
..jerk and other barrel stuff
..vendors sell nuff stuff,,, in street, on curbs, in alleys, EVER and ANY available space is being taken by somebody selling something ---- plus, the people/customers:::: barely nuff room for the customers

kids everyplace with their parents

right now,
there're about 10 of those guys with the dice game, where you find the rock under the shell.

too too bad you-all can't be here to see & enjoy this

after i *decided* i'd hang around for a while,
i figured it would be a good idea to get something(?) to eat.

stopped to a fav spot of mine

they had CURRY GOAT....!!!!...

i order-ed THAT ---- 'cause i love it bad

cost..??..:::>>> Ja$400

back in the good ole USofA,
that meal would cost me:::>> 'bout US$15, and it would NOT taste as good/nice/delicious

and::>> HERE is the kicker 'bout that meal::::>>>> there was a couple small slices of ChristmasCake included with the order ----- that likkle *touch* made me smile large.

when i placed my order i told the waitress ::>> "..having.." ... which means i'm gonna sit down, and not '..take-away.'

waitress had an id-tag hanging round her neck,,,, evidently she had ANOTHER day-job, and was there to help-out family, friend or whatever with the bizness tonight

she brought me my food on a hugh plate, with nice glass of cold water, WITH a coaster for water-glass

nice touch

mi not for sure,
but me *think* that the liquor store sell-off ALL the pint-size of liquor ..... all around, just after sunset, bokkles could be seen on tables, in hands, etc etc

i'll post about all the innovative set-ups, and crazy electrical wiring they-be-doing to set-up a selling-spot ---- UN-believable ---- what-ever it takes to get the job done, fi sure

when i told her about the 25-30 year mortage for a house purchase she was amazed.

when i told her she can't get food like she can growing in her yard or in the bush, or on the roadside, etc etc blah blah, she listened, pondered, frowned, as if i'd popped some kinda brain-bubble.

THIS is fun..!!!..

We drove through Lucea about 6:00 - as the MOH and Firetruck went roaring through and the Red Stripe truck made its last delivery of the night at the supermakert. The one way was still open - and the alternative route they send you on is the unofficial "Lucea bypass" which lets you off near the High School.

Lisa is very excited, you will all find out about it tomorrow!

street is now a two-way, for the night, for now, until the peoples spill off the sidewalks and into the street(s)

we got popcorn, we got cotton candy, we got twinkely light-up swords, mouse ear head bands, and other lit-up thing-ys.

at the Lucea-town Christmas tree, we got 2-3 photographers, WITH ink-jet printers, ..... pose, shoot, print ... pay... good to GO..!!..

one photographer has appropriated a corner-area of the post-office with two-printers .... he has props, too..... couple of Christmas trees, and a nice holiday background draped pon the wall....

they guys are making money tonight..!!..
believe DAT..!!..

at the old car/bus park,
the bounce-abouts are still bouncing

a likkle while ago,
i broke down and had some of the I Scream Devon icecream .... tried the DevonStout ...... not bad, but won't get THAT-one again, anytime soon..... 'tis an acquired taste.

tonight,
i've run into (so far) about 20 people i haven't seen in long time.

one lady,
a vendor lady (back then)
when i FIRST came to Jamaica, says::>> "..she STILL wants to marry me....",,,, 'cause she likes my skin color

early-er i strolled down to the gas station to check-on a young-girl, whom i met loooong time ago, when she was just entering high school.... back then she sold Sunday Gleanors ..... i always check-her, to see how she doing .... she doing GREAT,,, progressing ,,,,,, but has a likkle baby now

i DO NOT KNOW where these people are coming from..... but the route taxis and route vans/buses, just keep on coming with more and more people.
