after a *visit* to the outdoors rest-*area*
don-ed in my nice foreign powder-blue pajamas

minding MY-bizness

a young-neighbor-lady
was strolling up the road, puffing on a handrolled *something*(?)

she-SAY:::>>> "...YOU can't sleep in briefs..???...... gotta wear pajamas like an old man...??.."

* sigh *

in town
some elderly ladies were poke-ing fun at an elderly man,
who had on some slick nice-looking cargo pants

dem-SAY:::>> "..you must have a lot of money in those big-pockets, in those young-boy pants.."

The Lucea/Jamaica/Negril vibe is changing in quick-fashion

Holiday DONE...!!..

the pace has slowed,
the smiling faces are fading,
and
it's game-face
and game-attitude time,
once again.

tomorrow monday
the pickneys go back to school

from-foreign returnees are leaving, have left, or will soon leave for where-ever(s)

these past few days,
the vendors were frantically trying to get those last-few Ja-dollars, that may have been left-over from Christmas

there's no lines at WesternUnion office

I'm waiting to see
how many
and which businesses will close over the next few weeks... should/could be *interesting*

It's now or has been a Boom-Time in Hanover/Westmoreland

as mentioned,
in an earlier post,
things have been looking VERY-good for Ja-folks down-here over the past few years.

i'll post some videos, pics, and post SOON, on this subject

for example,
there's now an auto dealership in Lucea

there're a couple of new malls being constructed in-town, and around town

Lotta new cars, new vans, new taxis, new route-buses, new everything have/has popped-up over the past 2.5 years, since my last visit.

in the country-side,
where i frequent,
there're a bunch of new NICE likkle cook shops, and other shops all over the place ..... not sure if this is because of the holiday,,,, time will tell.... but there're for-sure a bunch of folks doing biz-ness-es up here/der in dem der hills & valleys & gulleys

'bout 2-3 weeks ago,
a returning resident
opened a new high-end, high-fashion designer-type ladies store in downtown Lucea

the merchandise is VERY VERY VERY nice ----- snazzy, jazzy, modern, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

the shoes...!!!...???...!!!....
i dunno where these tall-shoes dem selling come from, but they sure do look nice (and dangerous)

i chatted briefly with the store-owner-lady,
and gonna try to get an on camera interview
to share witcha

she said bizness WAS good and that there WAS DEFINITELY INDEED a market hungry for what she selling.

YOU GOT TO SEE this store/stuff.

Jelly Coconuts


as most of you's know,
i'm an advocate and practitioner of "..at LEAST one jelly-coconut per day.."

quickie info for-ya::::>>> right now the going price seems to be 'bout Ja
$150 each ---- in Lucea AND in Negril.

in Negril,
you gotta check the guy who usually set's up in front of the ValueMaster::::: he has nice fat jellies ---- depending on size, the price might vary to as much as Ja$200, but a Ja$150 is sufficient

in Lucea,
i've got a Saturday hook-up::::: there's a guy who sells his jellies for Ja$70 each ..... when i catch him, I'll get two, usually ---- and today I had three, and one more to take home to drink later. .... Jellies are nice, taste good, refreshing, and GOOD for you & your body ...

i'm gonna chat up my regular Lucea jellie man and see if he'll consent to doing video on jellies and how to eat/drink those gifts-of-Nature..... stay tuned
