What kind of cosmetics as gifts?
We always give cash as tips but I also like to bring little gifts for the staff each year. Sometimes I bring my favorite books, we brought someone a pair of dress shoes last year that he had requested. This year I am bringing some dress socks for the men. I have a couple of pretty cosmetic bags for a couple of the ladies. So, what type of cosmetics would be most desired? I was thinking lipstick or tinted lip gloss? Not sure what shades? Bright pink? Red? nude?
Re: What kind of cosmetics as gifts?
I would take the bright pink lipstick. Also eye shadow in gold, green or blue. Your friends will love their gifts :)

Thank you Bluez great to know.

I would take brighter tones of lipstick and nail polish. You need to compensate for the darker tone of the lips, ( I am a makeup artist). I would recommend coloured shadows but not to flashy as they will "glow" on their eyes rather than enhance. Choose tones with depth, like a deep purple, deep green etc. Try to avoid to much sparkle unless you intend to give them to young girls.

one of the absolute favorite gifts for my Jamaican friends is Dr Bonner's Peppermint Soap
Re: What kind of cosmetics as gifts?
where do I find that soap?
Re: What kind of cosmetics as gifts?
i get it from Publix or one of the health food stores --- it's pretty popular but not available in Jamaica
the folks i have given this to - consistently ask for more - and start using it by the drop when it starts to get low

Seveen, I have seen that soap before. I think that I may have to try it out. I think that I would like to try the peppermint and the lavender.

The soap is nice for sure.

I've gifted Victoria's Secret cosmetics, perfumes and candles and those were a big hit.
