Best rate for exchanging money, is it here in Canada? or there in Jamaica?

Wait till Jamaica. The rate on the island is about 1 to 97. But don't do it at the airport. Their rates won't be any better than doing it in Canada.

we just changed 500.00 canadian over to Jamaican here at home, for a trip in a couple of weeks, but you get a little better rate going to Scotia bank or our favorite Western union at the HILO, its a little quicker at the Western union, plus a great time to pick up beer, all your booze and snacks, fruit etc, soon come

I've exchanged money here beforehand and withdrawn it from the ATM in Jamaica. The difference wasn't much, not significant on a few hundred CAD. Now I just bring some back to get us started and hit the ATM when we arrive...

Changed $150 cdn into $13500 jamaican at the royal bank yesterday. Needed some ready cash for the rock before I can get to the cambio

Too bad our dollar is down a bit now. But really...when I'm on vacation I don't really stress about the money..some days are cheap days and some are those "my bar tab is what?!?!?" days...
