What ashame & only in the country for four days, I'm sure the hospital in Sav is ill equiped to deal with a serious head injury. As most of us know, this was an accident waiting to happen, the jet ski operator took off. I wonder what hotel this happened at?
And no ambulance... how nice.
And if I had a serious head injury, Sav would be one of the last places I would want to be.
That's awful.
Jackie and I thought we noticed LESS Jetski traffic in the waters too. Such a shame.
Now that is sad. Very sorry to hear it. I really didn't understand those jet skis being given the run of the beach, and I doubt things will change if this person passes away. A part of me is wanting to rethink my trip, but the people I get to see when I am there will definitely take my worries away.
.....and the POS leaves the scene.
F'ed up
The article didn't say if a tourist was driving or the guy trying to rent it. Damn shame.
I had the first Hobie Cat rental on Negril Beach in the 70's and one of my captains hit a tourist while flying a hull too close to shore. Just a bruise but a portent of things to come.
Most places that rent skis here in Florida have a specified riding area and fixed places to rent the ski.
Sooner or later it's got to happen in Negril
i am not a fan of the jet skis around the beach, next will be some kid run over by a running horse, soon come
The tourist has now died from his injuries :(
