Book Title?

A few months back someone posted about a book they read. It was about a Jamaican female telling her story of why she hasn't returned to Jamaica, I think because there's been so many changes.

Does anyone know what book this is? It sounded interesting and I'd like to read it before our Feb. reach.

Don't know the title, but I am interested in reading it. I have been reading anything about Jamaica that I can get my hands on. Hopefully, someone will know the title. Soon come in December....counting down the days. :)

There is one Negril: Reggae, Riots and Romance Not sure if that is the one you are looking for. haven't read it yet. Saving it for the 5 hour flight to California.

Aud-A-Sea, Negril...Reggae, Riots and Romance is off the hook!! You won't be able to put it down once you start reading it. One of my favs!

I really like Author Andrea Levy, the books I've read written by her are, Small Island, Long Song, Fruit of the Lemon.. She was born in London to Jamaican parents, a lot of history in her writtings.

Is Small Island the one they made a pbs movie about? It was about Jamaicans who come to England during WWII...about so much more than that, but that's a good place to start I guess. Would love to read that one.

It's not either of these books although both of them sound good, too.

I'll keep googling and if I figure it out I'll let you know. I'm thinking it is about/or written by a well know female Jamaican, like the mother or wife of someone famous. ???
