End of last November a freak high pressure center caused huge waves to hit the Negril coast.
The vid below was taken from cottage #4 @ Xtabi. One afternoon we had to abandon the terrace
for the pool across the road.

Took the beach guys a couple days to clean up the seaweed on the beach.

Some days there is no ocean swimming on the West End.
Those days bum me out a little, hate to admit.....might be converting to beach dweller
We are staying at Xtabi in June, stayed there to lovely calm seas and gorgeous sunshine days and hoping for good luck again, but it will be what it is and we will have a great time no matter what. Neat videos, thanks for sharing!
Never been to Jamaica in Summer. I'm told that the waters off Negril are very, very calm then.
Great video! We stay at Blue Cave Castle and it's always impressive when the Sea kicks up. Not so good for the snorkeling......;)
