Re: 2014 pics continue in the hills
We are so happy that we hooked up with Leon on our first reach. Back in 2010. His knowledge of Jamaican has really opened up so much more of the country for us. Here are a few more pics from the farm land and surrounding area's.
School boy (on the left) our driver, and Leon's uncle.

Cant remember the name of this plant, but it is used to soothe the eye's.

The pod's hold a lot of liquid that you squeeze out and use as drops. It fixes red eye's, itchy eye's etc. Good for those late nights in Negril.

This view is from a roof top bar/food stop that is on the final decent coming into Manchester. The jerk chicken and pork was D-bomb. We thought what we ate around Negril was good, but theirs was second to none.

The view looking down into Manchester. There was a huge rain storm coming in.

Way back in the background hiding behind the rain clouds is where we need to get back to.

Apparently all the real spice's for Jamaica come out of this factory.

This is the Bauxite plant coming down the steep hill from the roof top bar. It definitely was an interesting drive down, as the brake's on the car were smoking away as all the steep descents coming out of the hills took a toll on the car. Had to pull over a few times to cool them down. Bauxite use to be a major contributor to the economy.
