short reviews of coral seas, negril palms, travelors and legends/from april trip
1st up was coral seas gardens...located across the street from bar b barn...took a tour of it on my last reach...
It was the best bargain ever...now we got a great deal for 37 dollars, but even at 60 it is a deal....nice big pool which i never used...
a/c was so cold, i had to turn it off on occasion, which is seldom done....bed was the mst comfortable i have had in negril....had a safe, security was good,
what more could i possibly need....the beach was across the street but it is no different than staying at grand pineapple or white sands and crossing the street...
did not try to eat or drink on property, but a patty shop right outside the gate...
on my radar for another stay if the price is right...
Re: short reviews of coral seas, negril palms, travelors and legends/from april trip
next up is Negril Palms...we were hesitant to stay here as it has a coupke bad reviews, plus it is on the end of the beach that we never stayed at...
1st pool was great because it is right on the beach....drinks were pricey, never ate on the property...pilots next door(Now juicys) great food..also aunt trills corner is on the other side and is a great hangout with pattys and assortment of food...
rooms were a little small, and bed a little hard...a/c worked ok once the room cooled off...but it never got shut off...never really cold...
the veranda was right next to your neightbor...which turned out to be the best part for janet...we loved our neighbors...
had a safe, security great....
i prob would not stay here again due to the fact we like the other end of the beach better...but they always have deals for this hotel and iot is a nice budget place...

next up was Travelors...moved there to hang with some friends...a great review done by flip in another post...
not really much to add...the wellington boys were great...I think I met Winston and Winfred...not sure...they gave me a free transport to the soup kitchen one morning to help witht he school kids...
huge pool, waterfall, swim up bar...good food....great karaoke singers...nail salon on site for the ladys...in our past trips, there was not much beach, but this trip it was biggest i think i have seen...i had one of the older rooms, which they are in the middle of remodeling all of them...still a nice room...
i would definately stay here again...
Re: short reviews of coral seas, negril palms, travelors and legends/from april trip
and our last leg was Legends...we shop and find good deals and like to try new places...some dont like to move, i dont mind it...we have less places to try and will be repeating some places soon, I am sure...
we have stayed at at least 12 different propertys....the only one we repeated was catcha, and it was three nights with some friends...
this is the 2nd place we repeated...we decided to do the all inclusive package for our last 4 nights...most of our friends have left by now, so we figured we would just stay home and chill, no decisions on food..etc...this is another property that some here dont like...i dont get it...we love the place...the a/i package is great for the deal we got...the food was fine...not that many choices, but how much can u really eat? found something i liked on every meal...actually alot more choices on the drink list than before...pretty much anything...draft beer only on the a/i..but Janet didnt mind...
we will not be doing the a/i package again, though...just not our thing...to be clear...the package was great and the deal we got made it worth it...but we like to roam, and not have to be tied down somewhere to eat...
we get treated like royalty there...there are alot of europeans that stay here, and the employees say they are rude, etc, so since we dont need much, we get it all....never need for anything more than a mnute or two...
the rooms are nice, a/c is cold, hot water always with good pressure....
the only thing that i odnt like, and my wife does like....is that for security purposes, they lock down the entrance from the beach at 11pm and you have to enter from road...the night security also has a scanner check in that he has to do at many spots on the property every half hour that time stamps so it keeps him awake all night...
i would also stay here again...for the right rate, we could actually make this our home....

Re: short reviews of coral seas, negril palms, travelors and legends/from april trip
to finish my thoughts on accomadations, I will list all of my stops...
sept 2009---20th anniversary trip--about 10 days--great deal on grand pineapple--havent seen a deal like this since....what not to like at the Grand Pineapple...just not in my budget..
late oct/ealy nov 2010---about 12 days----Mariners at NBCC----loved the beach---hotel older, needs repairs, not as much security from beachside, would prob stay at nbcc not at mariners again,....we did pack a overnight bag and stayed at blue cave castle for one night to try out the cliffs...but 2 for 1 rum punch at canoe and no food led to the worst night that i can remember...to this day, i still cant drink the overproof...so not much info on bcc...
sept 2012 13 days....1 night at bourbon beach---kevin made us a great deal....60 bucks with food and drink vouchers...i would stay there again if the price was right, but only a cant miss deal....a little too much activity with no ammenities to pay full price..
we did a beach/cliff/beach spilt...legends for a few nights, catcha falling star for 3 nights, and legends to end the trip---already reviewed legends....we choose catcha because rooms were half price due to constuction of the new rooms...so we got gemini for our 70 dollar a night price range....catcha is breath taking...beautiful...but it is quiet and if u dont have the right crowd there, it gets boring to me...1st 2 days, had the property to ourselves, and i was ready leave...finally some freinds moved in on the 3rd day, and it was a blast...
april 2013---our first boardie bash---3 days fun holiday, 6 days white sands, 5 days shields, 3 days catcha to end our trip with friends..we were to unwind here to go home...missed the beach so much, when our friends left, we extended 4 days at bar b barn to get our fix in...
out of all these places....they are pretty much all the same....some have this, some have that...but not one is worth 30 dollars a night more than the other...meaning, i look for a price range..this trip we got all our for 63 or less, some including breakfast....as much as we like legends, if we didnt do a/i and they wanted 80, we would stay at travelors for 60...hope that makes sense....our 2nd favorite place has been bar b barn...but they didnt work us a deal, so we didnt stay there....we talked to them while we were there, cause we hang there alot, and they should work with us next time....
all those mentioned...legends, bar b barn, and travelors have been our 3 favorites with everything considered...and coral seas gardens would be there on top of them all if it was beachside...still the best deal we have ever got...
