I'm new here, so forgive me if this is a repetitive question... we have 11 of us in our group, who are traveling to Negril in a few weeks (all are newbies to JA but me and my husband). We hired a driver to pick us up on a Sunday morning... we are thinking about YS Falls, Pelican Bar, lunch at a local place then end the day at Ricks. My question - is Pelican Bar worth the drive and $'s???
It's not that far from YS, and you can eat lunch there...
With a group that big it may be worth the time.
You'll be making your own fun.
Otherwise you're going to do a lot of traveling to go to a bar (a unique bar - but still just a bar) and Negril has a plethora of bars you don't have to burn a day to get to.
Still with a large group of Newbies, the memories of the Pelican will probably last a life time.
With a group that big I think you'll be rockin' the Pelican and glad you tried it.
Check out Rocky`s tours in the transportation section. They have a Thursday special ,, for 100 bucks American per person they take you to Black River , YS falls and Pelican Bar plus lunch. Great deal and great tour guide.
We used Rocky and did YS Falls and then Pelican Bar, There were 6 of us and it was a blast! I highly recommend it, enjoy.
Yes, it is. Do it! Unique experience. I'm NOT a newbie, have done Pelican Bar, & would do it again.
Just did Pelican Bar and Mayfield Falls last month...lunch at pelican was great fresh kingfish or curry conch...I wouldn't want to do just the Pelican but pairing with YS would be a great day
