Honeymoon on the Cliffs - Suggestions
I am looking for recommendations for a "budget" Honeymoon on the Cliffs -Oceanside for September. I know that Catcha is running a special but that is still a little over the budget - looking for something around $85 - $100 or less. This is for two newbies so while I know that being in Negril is truly magical no matter where you are at, they are looking for something kinda special since it is their honeymoon. Looked at Samsara, Mirage, Xtabi and Catcha already any thoughts on these properties or suggestions for other places are much appreciated as its been about 9 years since I have been in Negril and not sure what has changed since then.
Thanks so much!!
Cheers~

Just stayed at Sunset on The Cliffs in April formerly Coral Seas Cliff. Was nice, good food and about 59.00 a nite not bad and beautiful views that can't be beat

I have never stayed at Xtabi, but I did spend a day there. It's a great place to hang out. For typical beach people we enjoyed.

The Blue Cave Castle can't be beat for magic and romance. We were married there and have stayed there many times before and since. The penthouse, room 4 or room 10 are my recommendations.

I was going to suggest Catcha but for a honeymoon on a budget .....Blue Cave Castle.
Re: Honeymoon on the Cliffs - Suggestions
Have met quite a few honeymoon couples at SamSara over the years & they were very pleased with the property & staff.
Re: Honeymoon on the Cliffs - Suggestions
Mirage is great option if you don't mind forgoing a restaurant and bar (not a big deal since there are a number good spots within easy walking distance). They are currently running a great special at $80 a night.
I would also consider Home Sweet Home. You can probably get a good deal on the Penthouse that time of year. The Penthouse at HSH is one of the most underrated rooms in Negril - with a large veranda that literally hangs over the cliffs. If not, the standard Seaview Deluxe rooms should have everything you need.

I like Samsara. I have seen negative reviews about the owner, but I like it. Good rates, good location, and you can take their free shuttle to their sister property, Legends, which is on an awesome spot on the beach. Attachment 38154Attachment 38155

I agree with Samsara. We were married there- honeymooned in the blue cottage over the sea. Nice room with indoor and outdoor shower- sliding glass doors open up to the deck and the view of the sea at night (at anytime actually) was breathtaking. Food, staff everything was amazing and reasonably priced but that was 2009.

I have been to Negril three times and actually, got married there - stayed at Nirvana, Home Sweet Home, Blue Cave Castle and Banana Shout. Visited Xtabi and Catcha a few different times so familiar with those properties as well. Catcha Gardens keeps catching my eye - they have an awesome rate and the place looks peaceful and serene. I think the couple have their heart set on Catcha but its just a tad over their budget -if you would recommend a comparable property on the cliffs what would it be?
Has BCC been renovated at all! - was there in 2003. I see they have a restaurant now too.
I know one thing, all this research has got me itching to start planning my own trip - I sure miss that magic of Negril!
