Most of my summer trips I see a gentleman w/ locks to his ankles. I think he's a visitor since he's not a fixture on the beach. Pretty impressive.
I saw that on the gleaner this morning. His dreads are as old as I am! Man, that is some serious perseverance to take care of them for all those years.
First thing I thought is that this guy has WAY too much time on his hands. :cool:
Don't know if the gentleman (and I do mean gentle man) is still alive, but he was in the employ of an influential Jamaican into his old age, when his employer returned the favor and was caring for him, last I saw. I assume he was an old Rastafarian, based on the dreads and his "rasta" name... His dreads were easily six feet long, maybe longer as, he too, had to carry them. Last I saw him was about three years ago, and in failing health.
