Best flight to Jamaica I ever had!

I was booked on the 9:40 A.M. flight to Jamaica on Southwest Air.
After going through the TSA screening and finding my gate i just grabbed a seat and relaxed.

There was a flight on SW going to Punta Canta at the gate next to me.

The folks had already boarded the flight to Punta Canta when I heard.
"WE did not do a security sweep of the Punta Canta flight yet" I heard the guy say.

"The Pilots will not take off until the security sweep is signed off on."
Now it was close to our Jamaica flight time.

"We have to evacuate the plane, call them all back to the gate"

"Well, we dropped the ball on that flight, but at least we can get the Jamaica flight off on time"

Yippee! Cayaa! I said.

There were only 38 people on my flight. The 727 could hold at least 150.
I never saw flight attendants so happy!
there was row after row of empty seats.

I stretched out and had all 3 seats as a bed.;)

One flight attendant held a box full of Ritz cheeses crackers, pretzels and peanuts up to me.
"take as many as you want" she said with a smile.

As many cranberry juices as i wanted too.

I did not eat breakfast, soooooooo. :0 :0 I was like a kid at a free candy store.

The flight was smooth sailing all the way here.

Great start to a holiday

Been going there 30 years and never had a bad flight either!
Lost bags and delays always leave my mind when "mi toes hit de sand man" !

Hey Markospoon- just got back from JA and I must admit, your flight with SW sounded very simular to mine-about 50 bodies on the flight and flew out of OKC@6:50 a.m. It was my first flight on SW-loved it.I stayed at Coral Seas for the first time as well-lived it as well. :cool:

Several years back we flew air jamica to the Cayman Islands (would not do cayman again) there were about 20 people on board,I jokingly asked the flight attendant if she needed me to chip in for gas,she didn't find it humorous
