Just wanted to share. Baby Harley or scooter

Curious if anyone else has had this little dilemma. . I have been renting a motorcycle since tanka had the place by valuemaster in the late 70's. Started with the 125's and for the last 30 years or so have rented the 600 shadow from ja b. .have had all kind of adventures on the bike . As well as enjoying rides as far as ocho riots as well as getting stuck a good distance from home , running out of gas , having things done to the bike so I would need help to get it started to it just not starting . All in all though I have enjoyed .
last year with my kids down with us I rented a scooter so I could teach my daughter to drive it.
I discovered I really don't need the shadow and the scooter made life easier. As I am getting close to my mid 60's the shadow I think helps keep me young as well as I got a hard time from my friends in red ground when they saw me on the scooter. I mentioned to my wife I was thinking of just weenieing out and going with the scooter with the scooter on our february trip. She ok with that as I sometimes scared her with her being on the back of the bike. That's my story. Anyone like to comment ?

I too rented (125cc dirt bike) from Tanka when I started coming there back in late 80's...now I rent from Prento..(Tanka's) son for years now & moved up to a Shadow. I call ahead to reserve & he puts his best bike on the side for me..puts saddle bags on it for me too..& gives me a great price since I rent it for 6 weeks..wouldn't do business with anybody else. Never had an incedent on a bike there..I've been riding big bikes for 50 years now here at home..& looking forward to jumping on it when I get there in late January.

Rooster, I am guessing you would not be seen on a scooter.

Go for the Harley. And 60 isn't old anyway.

Yes I am a young 65. I'm going to share the trip part scooter and take the shadow for a day trip . Been dealing with jay b so long am sure hal work with me

Sounds like the best of both. Good compromise.

While I am at it I would like to give a recommendation to jah b. Ealy,one I had a small accident and was sure I was going to get ripped off . He had me pay him an amount to fix that was less than I would have guessed. He had me by the cohones but did not take advantage

No scooter for me gotta have a big bike. I like to take long road trips in country & if I have a passenger a big bike can handle it.
