Trip report ~ Relaxing in Negril (photos to come)
Good Morning from beautiful Negril. My fella & I arrived on Saturday afternoon to a warm reception. I have NEVER before seen such line ups at the airport. We were "fast tracked" through the lineups and used the automated check in. The automated check in you scan your passport, then the machine takes a photo of you, after you are asked to type in the name of the accommodation and town and that was it, we were through (that part), we then went through the next line ups which were pretty long as well. All in all we were in the line ups for about 90 minutes.
We drove with Clive's Transportation and our driver ~ Chris was a very nice, professional and courteous driver. Arrival at our accommodation was in our sights, we arrived at our accommodation, dropped our bags & went down to Canoe Bar for sunset & dinner. I had the pasta Carbonara & my fella well he had the Jerk Chicken with fries. I had a couple blended fresh fruit punch with rum and they were delicious!!
We had an early night as we had been on the road for a while and it was nice to hit the hay.
We woke up bright and early to our morning cock a doodle doing going on outside our room, it seems that the roosters in the hood are loud & proud.
Breakfast was at Canoe Bar (open at 10am for breaky) such a beautiful spot to sit and have morning coffee and a bite of breakfast, I had sunnyside up eggs with coco bread & my fella he had the fried egg sandwich. I went and walked in the water a bit, took a few photos and then we needed to pick up a few staples from the store.
We had a relaxing day (other than the trip to the store for groceries), walked around for a bit, MX3 was holding a children's Christmas party on Sunday. They had 2 bouncy castles set up as well as all sorts of other things. The children were having a blast!!
Dinner was a Swordfish and it was very good. The sun was setting and the colours in the sky were breathtaking. We sat rooftop for our meal and watched the pelicans fishing in the water in front of us. I had the curried goat with rice & peas, steamed vegetables and my fella had the curried prawns, both were AWESOME. The food is fantastic, the service is great and it's so quick to get your meals.
