Myrna walks the beach daily {little lady with A big straw hat} she sells tickets to the Red stripe catamaran. I think its around $50.00 A person
We did the Red Stripe a few years back. Yes, Myrna's "office" is between the Rondel and the Boatbar if I remember correctly. They had a nice jerk chicken meal with rice and peas, Red Stripes, and Rumpunch. We cruised south to the cliffs, got off the boat and swam thru caves, then cruised back to the beach. It was quite fun. I think hd is correct in saying about $50 per.
Small catamaran. It's fun. Too small of a boat for my wife though, sea was too rough, she got sea sick, so I'm just sayin' I had fun, maybe too much fun!!?? Myrna's a nice lady. You can't miss her with the large floppy hat.
we get a crew together for a private cruise each feb. soon come
We took a day cruise with them last February to Booby Cay Island for $60 each, and I'd highly recommend it. The price included unlimited drinks (beer, rum punch, soda, water), grilled lobster on the beach (you can get jerk chicken instead), about 45 minutes of snorkling with equipment included (we didn't realize this was part of the deal, so it was a nice bonus for us!), and an all around good time -- the crew was very friendly.
Also, please note that they don't let you take advantage of the open bar until you're finished snorkling (or you choose not to snorkling), but no problem, because you'll have PLENTY of time for booze while on the trip.
So I can't speak on the cliffs tour (we've done that before by just setting up a glass bottom sunset cruise), but my wife and I have already talked about how we'd take the Ya Mon Red Stripe Catamaran to Booby Cay again in the future.
16 days til we make it back to Negril!
Talked to two people last week that did it, one loved it, the other hated it due to too many people and not a good crowd.
