Trip Report Day 9, June 11--Great Day on the Cliffs

Writing this in real-time from breakfast at Jus Natural. Well, a late breakfast consisting of tuna sandwiches and RS and coffee with rum crème. Late because there wasn’t a cloud in the sky(still isn’t!) and we jumped off the cliff with our snorkel gear, video and adventurous souls and did more than an hour long snorkel, going the full length of Xtabi and back. Saw lots of fish, but you had to know where to seek them out.

Now, we are going to split the day snorkeling at Xtabi and desalinating in the pool. Throw in some music, RS and relaxation and this will be the best day yet! Almost rented a car for the drive to Treasure Beach, but the weather is just too perfect! Oh, and what is with La Kaiser’s? The place is maintained as if they expect guests at any moment, yet it is closed and has been for some time! Seems like such a waste for a nice property…

Spent the day as planned, snorkeling, sunning and desalinating! Oh, and throw in the rest of the snacks and booze from the room and it was an AWESOME Saturday at Xtabi on the cliffs.

Then, after getting showered(!) it was off to Sea Star again…pretty darn good buffet again, this time with roast pork substituting for the roast beef. For some reason, the jerk sauce tasted completely different from last Saturday. Even better, IMHO. Another hot evening, this time with no breeze at all. Wound up leaving a bit after 10pm as we were beat from snorkeling, sunning, and swim pooling all day. It was good to see Rob again and hoped you all had fun laughing at the big guy waving into the webcam/cast like a kid! Too tired for even a nightcap, but tonight the cottage was really warm, so sleep did not come easy or last for long. Tam and I both remarked that it finally cooled down shortly after 4am, allowing some less-fitful sleep. I didn’t realize she was awake as well!!!!! Talk about lack of communication! LOL
