A calm sea

The sea was beautiful today calm and clear. The aqua colour deepened as I looked out until it was almost navy.

If you out past the reef far enough the water is so clear and deep that it looks black.

The Cayman Trough between Jamaica and Grand Cayman is 2,400 fathoms (6' per fathom - 25,000 feet)

Light goes in and doesn't come out
