I was snorkeling in the fisherman's fav spot....March 10, 2015

I set out about 10:00 A.M. to go for a swim.
I had my fins, mask and snorkel. I was ready.

I found a nice quiet spot away from the crowds around Bar B Barn,
going towards downtown.
There is an old tree laying on its side. I looks like a giant
piece of drift wood.
Hmmm,. a nice place to use for base camp.

I stripped down to my trunks and headed in to the the blue.
Man, this water is so clear today. It was actually sparkling.

I saw teeny weeny little fish, about 40 swimming together, but moving as one.
So cool.
Not much to see, but the sand and a few underwater hills, about 6 inches wide with
a hole in the middle.
That must be some critter's home.

I swam out, then back and sat in about 3 feet of water.

There had been a fisherman circling around in a boat with outboard engine.

As soon I came close to shore the boat came in closer and the guy
started to unwind his net and let it go while making a big circle.

When the circle was complete, he cut the engine and dropped anchor.
He jumped overboard wearing a mask and snorkel and started searching
the net for fish.

I had to take a closer look.

I swam closer and saw that he had weights on the bottom and floaters on top.

He was only in 5-6 feet of water.
He would look, pull the net in and grab the fish.

While he was away from the boat I swam up to it and looked inside.
There were a lot of little reddish colored fish there.

I did not see him catch any more, so when he started
pulling the net into the boat I swam away.

Making a big circle was his way of catching the fish.
Pretty cool.
A nice way to catch them.

I've seen the same style of fishing around bar b barn last dec. Early around 6 am.
