Hi, we will be staying at Couples Negril and want to go from there to the lighthouse on the West End, spend some time at Barney's Hummingbird Garden and then go over to Half Moon for a few hours before heading back to the resort. Should we get individual taxis or hire a driver? Does a driver just wait or come back at a set time? How would this work?

A private taxi is the way to go.
He'll wait for you or come back when you call him on the cell phone he'll give you.

Thank you for the suggestions. Are these drivers paid by the hour, a pre set price or per leg of the trip? What if they leave and come back later in the day? Would imagine they could leave and go make more money than waiting on us.

Not wanting to take away from anyone's line of work, but a taxi is available at anytime-wherever you go. Mostly all drivers have cell phones and will give you their phone number. They will promptly and gladly come back and get you.
