I wish. We tried to get flights out of central and northern WI and the connections are horrible or the good connection is $1000ish. We are using points and traveling 3.5-4 hours and spending a night in Milwaukee to get decent flights. I'm still hoping that flights drop as I can cancel flight and restore points if I can find a different flight closer to home.
They're still running over $600 from Mpls. for next spring.
my airfares have gone up. i do remember the airlines saying that the reason that airfares did not drop after the price of oil dropped was because they had to go through the fuel that they had secured at the old prices. they sure must have bought a lot of it.
We paid $200 less from Columbus Ohio for our trip in nov then we paid for last Dec. southwest started service out of Ohio to MBJ, maybe that helped.
paid under 500 each two weeks ago for a February trip. I just checked current prices and they are 200 more. Timing/luck is everything.
As of 7am Southwest.com has quite a few weekdays in February at less than 500 USD r/t from Minneapolis /St. Paul. We just grabbed the 3rd thru the 17th. 960 something all in for the two of us.
They don't have itineraries released for the end of April yet.
We got ours for $360 each from Richmond, VA this year, last year we paid $600 each out of Norfolk which is 1/2 hour drive while Richmond is 1 1/2 hours but I thought it was worth it to save almost $500 :) We have to pay to park at the airport either way :)
