I was in a hurry and got in the wrong side of the Route car.

I had just got off the phone with my pal up in Orange Bay. He invited me over for a home cooked dinner up in them there hills.
I showered, put on my glad rags and ski-daddled out the door like the wind.
Through the gate mi sis in law shouted
"where you going in such a rush?"
Dinner is waiting on me, Ha ha, I said with a smile.
I am an early bird.
Best for me to get to places early, waaay before anything is ready (which is easy to do in Negril)

Hmmm, "I think I'll hit the short cut, past the football (soccer) field and to the bus park"
I said to myself.
10 minutes later and I was coming through the back of the car park.
I remembered where the route mobiles that go up to Orange Bay are parked.
I love the front seat.
Sometimes 3-4 people could get mashed up in the back,
so when I saw the front passenger seat un-occupied I opened the door and started to take
a seat.
"OYY, OYY" rah rah rah"
Huh? someone was shouting! Was he talking to me?
I still did not understand.
Then I looked down and saw that I was about to sit behind the steering wheel!!
Oh my god!
The driver quickly came over, took a closer look at this tourist fool and said
"where you from mon?"
I took a deep gulp and barely made out the sound "U.S.A."
Then got my behind in the back seat (whew):confused:
A few ladies lightly giggled at me and the driver kept looking in the rear view with a smile on his face.
When we were close to my exit point on the road where all the motor-bikes wait to bring folks up into the Orange Bay hills,
He said "Here is your stop Mr. USA."
So funny, now that I think about it, but I was soooo embarrassed making a rookie mistake like that.
Anywhoo,
I was just in time to see my man start his outdoor grill.
Oh, well, all's well that ends well.:cool::confused::rolleyes:

My taxi man Mr P always says "you driving today?" lol don't think so..... do it at least once every reach.....

I have a driver that used to have a left-hand drive vehicle, and my mind still thinks he does. Also if the vehicle is reversed into the parking space, I get mixed up there too.

Me too. A couple of times per trip I do to the driver's side then sheepishly move to the other side. If it's a friend's car I never hear the end of it either.
