Oh, well that's very different. The cheapest RT flight I've ever found from Detroit was $380 last winter, which is about $100-150 less than typical.

As someone who has worked in the travel industry for many years (specifically with Westjet for almost 10 of those years) I can tell you that rarely will you find a sale on the way back. They want you to get there and know you have to come home so don't wait to to long to book the return as it will almost always only go up.
