Trip report - Day 2
Finally met Wallace who was also staying at BCC. I missed my planned Sunday brunch @ Cafe Goa and instead ended up eating a small banana rum cake. Finally got into that beautiful blue sea, hopefully the water helps the blisters. As I'm hanging out by the ladder, I noticed two things. There was a small maybe 1.25" fish (at least it looked like a fish) up on the rock but where the water would hit it as waves passed. It starts wriggling/walking along the cliffs! Whaaa? Evolution in action? A little while later in the same area I see movement on the rocks as the water lowered. I take a close look next time and it is a tiny octopus! No bigger than a silver dollar.
Lunch was on the agenda for Keney's Chinese, went there and had General Ching's chicken. Not quite what I was expecting, something like Gen Tso chicken, but good nonetheless. My Red Stripe tank top brought a few comments from the locals there and on the way to Drifters.
@Drifters, met up with Mamade11 and her friends, later on Rob and Lisa and then Islandbuoy. Lots of rain! Holy downpours batman! It got off to a slow start but was eventually a packed house. A good time was had. Afterwards Mamade11 invited me to dinner with her group, and off we went. Ran into her two daughters and their friend and went to Kenny's Italian for pizza. It was pretty good! Love a thin crust pizza.
Might be meeting them for lunch today.
Off to nab some coffee and maybe a nice soak in the sea.
Until next time...

Wow. That is new. Was there an incident that prompted this?

Re: Trip report - Day 2
Not that I am aware. I was told that all places are supposed to have a life guard on duty. I don't remember his given name, but his Jamaican nickname was "City". He was there around 7 AM and did some sweeping up and was in the chair or down by the water from 8 AM till 4 or 5 PM

Bob

That's quite an investment . . could be considered a "public service."
