Re: Tranquility at Firefly
Even though I didn't stay there this last trip, it was really great to spend a couple afternoons/evenings hanging at Seagrape. Trevor, Nita and the crew are all wonderful. And for those reading, dont miss the Jamaican breakfast!
Re: Tranquility at Firefly
Has anyone on the board stayed at the secret cabins (1-4)? I noticed a big difference in room rates between those 4 and all the other accommodations at Firefly. Any pics or opinions out there?

We were there last Feb. The cabins have a bed, desk, fan, and lamp. You have shared outside showers and bathrooms. The other rooms are all different from one another too.
If you go to the reservation portion of their website it gives pictures and a basic explanation of each room. They are all pretty neat in their own way. We had a penthouse suite with a kitchen and beautiful view from our balcony.

I've stayed a couple times in the smallest cabin. It has bunk style beds, a full bed on the bottom and twin on the top. Slept on the bottom both times. It seemed that anyone over 5'8" might have a hard time in the top because there isn't much clearance to sit up (and def no sexy time up there ;) also better suited for those younger because it's not easy getting up and down.
I've stayed in the larger cabin once. It has side by side full beds with a night stand in the middle. Much better for two adults trying to stay on the cheaper side. Outdoor showers and bathroom are well kept and no problem at all if you're comfortable with that type of thing.
I've also stayed in three of their other "apartments" - all were great in their own way. Much more space than the cabins and more importantly, a fridge.
Honestly, it's a night and day type of thing. IMO, with the cabins, you're paying for a roof and basically a locker with security.
The property, even after staying at five other properties and it's lacking in some luxury amenities, is still the most like "home" for me.

Andrea and friends now own the place and are doing amazing renovations! such a good vibe there.
