Prepare them well, with your accumulated knowledge, for what they should expect. My experience bringing newbies is the more info they have in advance the more they enjoy themselves.

Recommend packing lists. Explain the taxi system. Advise them how to deal with higglers and hustlers and how to tell the difference. But most importantly, they must understand the concept of soon come.
Don't expect everyone to love Negril or Jamaica. We had one visit nearly ruined by a relative who hated everything that didn't meet her North American 'standards'.
