Christmas Vacation Part 3

A day after Christmas, I was MIA for a few days, as I came down with a god awful stomach flu. Hubby kept trying to bring me stuff to eat, but no deal....After 3 days, I finally ate some plain rice and boy did that taste good! Ozzie, the wood carver, said that I needed fresh ginger tea.We went to visit our friends at Charela and a wonderful waitress made me freshly grated ginger tea. I drank 3 pots of it and drank it everyday until we left. FYI - that stuff works!

We went to Rockhouse for dinner with our friends. I really didn't want to go, as I didn't want to eat. I'm glad that I went! Our waitress was very accommodating and understood my situation. I ordered plain rice, plain grilled chicken, & ginger tea. Our meals came & they all looked delicious! The chef even made my plate look appetizing!

New Year's Eve - the beach was bustling all day. Only 2 days left....Finally feeling a little better...got to get out & have fun!

Thanks Sue! Yeah, I was sick as a dog for a few days. I came home 8 pounds lighter....�� Hated that I lost a few days while in Negril. The only thing that made me feel better about it, was that we booked our trip for December! See you at Alfred's on 12/24!��

New Years Eve dinner at Charela Inn
We got the last table. Otis Gayle's band was playing. Prix fix dinner or order from menu $40 min order. Lordy, they didn't know our bar bill would be more than the food! Walked back to Rondel to meet Delroy's wife & have a few drinks. New Years Eve in Negril is the place to be! The beach was hoppin...music pumping from every property, Bon fires, fireworks at midnight from Alfred's, beach vendors, people dancing, Chinese lanterns in the sky, families on da beach...it was GREAT!!!

Glad the ginger tea fixed you up. It is also known to work for a hangover. Thanks for posting the pics, it certainly helps me while I await my trip!

madcam94 - ginger tea is the bomb! I bought some tea bags in the airport. Did some research on it when I got home, been drinking fresh ginger tea every day! Hopefully there will be lots of trip reports/pics to get you through until your trip!
