Advice needed on day trip from negril

Me and my wife would like to take her sisters on a day trip in April when they come spend a week with us. I want to check out the blue hole near Negril and a waterfall. I have been to ys falls before but always wanted to see mayfield falls. I don't remember which one is closer to Negril and don't know which falls is closest to the blue hole and Negril. What falls would be best to include with the blue hole in a day trip from Negril? We would plan to leave our hotel right after breakfast and hopefully be back at the beach in time for sunset. Also does anyone have an approximate price for the transportation which would have to be a van since there will be 4 of us.

I went to Mayfield on my last trip; we left about 8:45 and were back a bit after noon. It was about an hour nice and easy trek up the waterfalls. Mayfield is the closest Falls of the big three to Negril. A friend that went with me also went to YS falls and later Dunn's river falls and said he liked YS the best. Not sure about where Blue Hole is in respect to the others.

Thanks Moose. I think we will take them to ys falls. We liked it when we were there and most people have told me they liked it better than mayfield falls. At least if we go there the ladies will get to see Sav, bamboo alley and the shrimp ladies. I will get to the blue hole on my own on one of my scooter day trips. Gonna do my best to make sure they see more of Jamaica than Negril and the sights from mobay to Negril and hopefully they will want to come back next year with their husbands. My first week in Negril I plan to just relax on the beach because I know my second week is going to be super busy acting as a tour guide, body guard / towel boy lol

If you go to YS Falls you could always consider making a stop at the Appleton Rum Factory and taking that tour they offer. Never know when you'll get back that way again. However you may not make it back in time for sunset - depends when you have breakfast and how long you stay at YS. Blue Hole is in Brighton - we hope to visit next year and check that out. I hear there is some volleyball - restaurant - pool - bar

hands down Mayfields Falls is the ticket.....lot of fun and doesn't take all day.....YS Falls is way over rated

Good to know. Been to ys but never mayfield so may end up checking out both. Only reason I was thinkin ys was because my sister inlaws would get to see more of Jamaica. If we goto ys falls it's not to far of a detour to take them down bamboo alley and they would also get to see Sav and the shrimp ladies in middle quarters. So many things to do and they will only be there for a week and then there is also that beach gravity thing lol. So far we plan to bring them to seastar for the sat night dinner and show, Rhodes hall to snorkel and maybe ride the horses and ys or mayfield falls and maybe the blue hole but plans change in Negril as we all know and we may just end up never leaving the beach lol. Gonna leave it in their hands. Just wanna make sure they enjoy their vacation and hopefully bring their husbands next year and make it an annual trip for the 6 of us
