Negril Beach Club Condos

Anyone stay at Negril Beach Club Condos recently? We booked through a private owner through VRBO. We are traveling with our kids, aged 12 and 20, we are not the fancy pants type and just looking for something clean and safe and accessible to everything since we will be on the beach or doing other activities most of the time.

Since we booked through the condo owner I imagine that we will just get a key to the place and there will be no housekeeping services, etc. which is fine. Anyone have experience with booking the condo part and not the hotel part. Curious if room safes are common as well. Any information or insight is greatly appreciated. :cool:

There are several entities there. You have the hotel, you have NBCC (Negril Beach Club Condos) which are leased through Jean and you also have privately owned units. The owner is the only one that can tell you if they provide maid service but my guess would be they don't unless they keep it continuously booked. Every room I have ever stayed in there had a safe but no guarantee on that either, so ask the owner. We were there last month and the property was in better shape than I have seen it in years. Refinished swimming pool and hot tub. The restaurant was very convenient for breakfast and they prepared a private dinner for us on the beach for Valentines. Walking distance to dozens of restaurants and bars without ever leaving the beach. They have a new security service so I don't think you will have any security problems. Great beach so the kids will love it.

I love Negril Beach Club Condos. I was last there Dec/Jan. Check with the owner to see which unit you will be in. Although all the condos are individually owned, there are some owners who take better care of their condos. I would assume you will still have daily housekeeping service as that does come with renting a condo but like Rumlover said, check with your owner. The property is clean and safe and since you're not the "fancy pants type" you should do fine. I have friends who I would never bring there and have had friends/family who refuse to go back BUT there's still a large contingency that love the place. The beachfront is amazing and the staff are really awesome. I've stayed in several different condos (not the hotel) and all the rooms have had a safe.

I can't wait to be back in 283 days!
