News for visitors looking for a different hiking experience!

A seven mile portion of the Original Trails of the Maroons will be open for hikers around August of this year. Plans are for cabins to be built on each end of the trail running from Accompong Town to Quick Step. A walk through natural beauty of the Cockpits and through History at the same time.

Cool! It should be open by the time I get back to Jamaica in October, I'll have to try to work my way over there and take a hike. Thanks for the heads up!
