Friends of Arland A Adams
It is with heavy heart that I am posting to advise of the passing of Arland A Adams on April 9 2016. He was across country, in Washington state US, while traveling the west coast and visiting a sister. He was a long time Jamairican who spoke fondly of his friends and acquaintances he acquired over the many years visited and time spent in Negril. My thoughts are that he would want them to know. His love and passion for the island and people began in the 70's. My condolences to anyone affected by this news. His obituary and memorial page is available for viewing and/or posting your sentiments at the following site: www.hillcrestmemorialcenter.com. You will need to click on the obituaries icon and then do a search by the name Arland A Adams. It shows a picture in his much younger years :) but there are postings in the memorial that are more recent. Also I will check back periodically to see if anyone has posted to this thread with any inquiries. My sincere condolences to anyone this effects.
Much respect and blessings.
Anabeth
Re: Friends of Arland A Adams
We are saddened by the passing of Arland, one of the original Negril lovers. Our condolences to all his family and friends from all of us in Negril.
Here is the link to Arland's page, and yes, he is much younger in the picture as Anabeth says. We will raise a round of cheers to his memory. Thank you for bringing this to our attention Anabeth!

Re: Friends of Arland A Adams
Thanks Rob, was hoping that someone would notice.i have not spoken directly to his sisters...they are scattered throughout the country.mSince has did not pass at home in Pennsylvania, but rather across country in Washington state (which really is true Arland style) I believe he was cremated. They made mention of having some sort of service here at home in the future. I spoke with him back in March about my planning a trip back to Negril myself. I am thinking of asking if they would like me take and scatter his ashes (as I plan on having done with my own some day) in Negril. Pretty sure he would like that. He turned me on to sweet Jamaica years ago and I became a frequent visitor in the late 90's and early 2000's. Will try to locate some old friends myself :) regardless a visit for me now will soon come. He is a friend of 38 years and it still has me reeling. Some sweet Jamaican air will do some good. Thanks for posting the link appropriately. Much respect and blessings.
