Update on what can no longer be called the Breakwater issue...

From the Gleaner today, two articles about the Negril Chamber of Commerce meeting at Swept Away. CEO of the Jamaica Environment Trust (JET), Diana McCaulay chaired the meeting, with local residents as well as environmental experts having a chance to make their feelings clear.

Informative, yes. I'm a bit surprised at the comments from the Dutch gentleman stating that a single storm and winter season would provide enough data to come up with viable solutions. And he said this after expressing caution about having certainty before proceeding with long term solutions. In my opinion, a single season is more akin to a weather report. I'm not sure that you can determine sand depository trends or patterns from a single storm season of data.
