What do you show a newbie???
First trip anywhere for my sister this Feb. She will stay with me on the beach. She knows we will go visit St Anthonys for a morning and we will tour inland one day to see the island. Where would you take someone within Negril? I am hoping for some music on the beach, Alfred's for fish and chips, Drifters for sure, Connie's for a visit, hope to do the pub crawl.....think of anything/anywhere else we can fit in?
Re: What do you show a newbie???
I love a long walk up the beach to Cosmo's for lunch.

Take her to Sir D's for a sunset. Swing by Connie's on the way and place your order, and hit her place after sunset on the way back.

I notice the Booger Sandwich is now a regular menu item at Connie's. You're famous, man!

i know it is touristy, but if I ever bring a newbie, a stop at Rick's Cafe is a must...a first timer is a TOURIST....it is something to see, after you get enuff, move on up to sir d's for the sunset....to me, the pub crawl is also a great way to see alot of places with a tour guide....

It's funny that you say that because I'm bringing my daughters down to Negril for their first time in a few days and my oldest already asked me about going to Rick's because she heard of it..

Take them to chill out and kick back on the beach, at the far end.
Up by the river with all the other fishermen.
On the beach behind the Craft Market.
Watch the boats come in and go out to fish.
You will find a Rasta named Mountain Man, aka Ringo.
He has a nice place there and sells tings.
He is an Old School fisherman.
He will tell you all kinds of stories and history of his people.

Rick's is fun. Have a drink or two. Watch the divers and all the boats that come into the cove. Call ahead and find out which afternoon the steel band plays. Nice. Then head to LTU for dinner, check Rexy's and end up at Sir D's. Nice little late afternoon/early evening crawl on the West End.
