Is it cold at night now-a-days?
My J Friend said that it was cold last night, Nov. 17, in Negril.
Now, the locals do seem to get colder than us tourist.
One time it was about 65-70 degrees and I stopped by my friends place on the beach.
I saw him about 50 yards away. He had on a hooded Jacket.
I started running and yelled out to catch him before he left.
"Mi not leaving" he said.
"I am wearing my hooded jacket because it is cold"
So, just wondering what the temps are at night these days.
Thanks:cool:

Doesn't look like it will get lower than 73F (23C) for a couple weeks - highs around 85F (29C). I call that perfect...Counting the days...
Re: Is it cold at night now-a-days?
Wow that's a mess - sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset times are in that jumble too. Turning this thing off - maybe I should go polish my snorkeling mask.
Re: Is it cold at night now-a-days?
Nah, it wasn't cold but it was windy up on the cliffs. The Observer had a little blurb about a "front" that came through yesterday. The ocean was very rough. Today things have calmed down quite a bit but the water was still turbid (lacked clarity). it is still fairly windy right now. Headed out to Chicken Lavish after the sunset.
Regards,
Bob
Re: Is it cold at night now-a-days?
I was on Zion Hill for 14 nights ending on Wednesday.
Only ran AC for four hours a day 3 - 7. After that a fan until bed. I slept under a light spread
We did have a small cold front so the wind blew from 3AM to sunrise

Re: Is it cold at night now-a-days?
Just in case the Christmas breeze comes early, I am bringing warm clothes. Actually I will be wearing them as it takes me almost 18 hours to get there (including 8 hours on airplanes which are always cold, and another 8 or so hours at airports which can also be chilly). Way back in the 80's I was took a few years off from working and had many back to back six months stays (which you could get back then either because the rules were different or immigration had no way to track how long you stayed), I got climatized and joined my JA friends in bundling up in winter particularily at late nite yard parties or shows. My body seems to remember, and I still get cold in JA during December!
Suitcase almost packed ... I fly out Tuesday nite on the redeye to Toronto and will arrive in Negril Wednesday late afternoon. Getting excited - its been 5 years since my last visit.
Re: Is it cold at night now-a-days?
It is currently a chilly 26 C which is about 79 F..... (burr.... LOL)
Re: Is it cold at night now-a-days?
Hey BCBud, sounds like you have the same routing as I do.....except I'm flying out on Friday night arriving Saturday! I found this great weather station online a couple years ago, data collected from the Negril Areodrome. Gives me a way better idea of the conditions than looking at other big weather sites.
