Bourbon Beach last several years

So question for everyone

The last several years Bourbon Beasch Has had some of the best chicken and what we think is the best jerk sauce.

This year there are new owners, chicken is still good but what happened to the wonderful sauce?

Does anyone know where or if last years owners are? Do they have a new place?

Same lessee at Bourbon Beach for the last couple of years...maybe the chef is gone this year.

That's too bad, that sauce was awesome!

it's been awhile since the best jerk/granny sauce has been at Bourbon Beach back to when the American Kevin was running it..
Kevin had inherited the original jerk sauce from the previous owner who was buying the jerk sauce from a local guy....
when the Italian ownership took over from Kevin a ways back they discontinued using the original jerk sauce to cut food cost.....
and now with the Canadian ownership they haven't reverted back to the original recipe......too bad

as far as granny/jerk sauce goes.....mi think 3 Dives and Bigga in Green Island have about da best in the area...of course dat always up to debate.....ha ha

Definitely. We finally got some of the sauce from Koop Vybes (the newest addition to the family) and it was awesome. I believe living the dream took some home as well.

Unless this is a fairly recent thing (last two years), I don't think so. We always brought back a bottle of BB jerk sauce, because it has always been our favorite in Negril, and very different from the granny sauce at 3 Dives/DeBar (which is pretty weak IMO). If they have changed it, that's a bummer. The last time I had it from BB was almost two years ago, and it was the same then as I remember it for the past 8 or so years...

Last winter the sauce was the same that it always was, going back to DeBus. When I start dipping my chicken in that sauce I always have a cold red Stripe ready.

The sauce at bourbon beach is suffering. No where near the spice it should have. Best in the west was like barbecue sauce to my taste buds, but whatever the new owner of kool vybes is doing to his sauce... he has made me into a convert. That stuff is HOT and good.
