Another dent in the sea...
Thanks to Rainforest for adding lionfish to their frozen offerings!

This is another significant step to eradicate the invasive species. From Brian Jardim, "Further, he noted, lionfish stocks were reduced significantly due to a successful ‘Eat Them To Beat Them’ campaign driven by Dr Dayne Buddo and the UWI marine lab a few years ago. Buddo is an advisor to the fisheries sector."
Order up the lionfish!

Check this out for the techies. Probably the best way to start getting at the deep water lion fish - I bet there are some huge ones down there.

Light and flaky, not fishy at all. Really tastes like what you cook it with - escovitch, brown gravy, battered are all great.

Try the lionfish and chips at Canoe Bar. Superb!
Re: Another dent in the sea...
When we were in Negril 2 weeks ago some diver friends caught 10 lion fish. Had the cook at the resort cook them and shared the bounty with us. Other than small bones you had to watch out for the fish was delicious.

I understand, even AEDs are too expensive and those could save some human lives. Just thought it was an interesting technology.
